Exterior Painting Process

Here at EuroPlus, the high-quality standard is a major part of our culture. The common thread throughout all of our projects, whether small or large, is the level of quality and attention to details

Step 1

We power wash every exterior to remove loose paint, debris and dirt to ensure a durable, lasting finis

Step 2

All windows and trim that don’t need painting will be covered for protection. All cracks around windows, doors and fascia are caulked to prevent water penetration

Step 3

Firstly, a wall will be covered with quality primer to create an adhesive surface and then we will apply 2 coats of paint both horizontally and vertically for perfect coverage

Step 4

Clean Up

All coverings, masking and other debris will be removed by our crew once the painting process is done. You can be sure no mess will be left afterwards

Step 5

Once all steps of painting are completed, we inspect our work to make sure everything is done perfectly and you will be invited for a detailed walkthrough

Frequently asked questions
about exterior painting

Generally an exterior paint job takes about one week from beginning to end, including pressure washing, prep, painting and clean up. Of course, each home will have individual considerations that may add to or take away from the projected timeline.

You may be the kind of homeowner who likes to roll up their sleeves and get it done (which is great!), but here are a few questions to consider:
  • How intricate or complex is your home? – angles, lines, architectural features, and other unique considerations can be tough to navigate and thoroughly coat without the right tools and experience.
  • How tall is your home? – it may not look bad from the ground, but working from a ladder can be another story. It’s important to be confident that you can work safely and reach every inch of your house.
  • Repairs – exterior painting involves far more than just paint. Are you able to confidently make repairs and properly prepare the surfaces?
  • Do you have the equipment and materials? – exterior painting often involves buckets, brushes, sprayers, drop cloths, caulk, ladders, primer, lifts, rags, tape, and more.
  • Do you have the right product knowledge? – painting, when done well, is as much science as elbow grease. Knowing the way products interact with each other and your home’s surfaces is an essential part of making sure your paint lasts longer than a summer or two.
Here is another important question that not many people ask themselves: what is your time worth? Hiring a professional can be a fast, efficient way to get the job done well, leaving you available for work, family, other projects, and more.

This might sound a lot like the question of how long paint lasts, but there is a slightly different angle we can take here.
While your paint may stand strong for 7 years, we would suggest more frequent touch-ups, cleaning, and maintenance. This will not only keep your surfaces looking their absolute best, but also give your paint a shot at a long and healthy life.

There is always one constant and that is that you paint the shady sides first and avoid painting in direct sunlight. You should sort of just follow behind it around the house, avoiding heated areas. In addition, paint is best applied when there has been little rain and low humidity. Never paint a surface if it’s not dry. Painting can be done with levels of humidity at 70%, but it is recommended that the range of humidity be between 40% to 50%.
Rain will not damage the paint, as long as the paint is dry. Paint is formulated with drying agents to allow water to skim over the surface. However, if a heavy rain happens when the paint is still wet, the surfaces may need to be repainted.

Yes. Most people we work for are not home while work is going on. While you are at work or running errands, our crew will be busy painting. We are licensed and fully insured so there is nothing to worry about.

We never charge a fee to provide an estimate for your painting project.
